Our Little Monkey and A Few Friends!

I know I am behind on blogging but I just couldn’t go without sharing pictures of Aiden at the pumpkin patch and Halloween night. He loved picking out pumpkins, carving the pumpkin, dressing up and even enjoyed going out to trick or treat! We made two trips to the pumpkin patch this year and took tons of pictures with family and friends. Sunday night we went over to my sister’s house for a Halloween party and trick or treating! Aiden enjoyed the evening plus Patrick and I “dressed up as zoo keepers”!

Wordless Wednesday

Aiden had an ear infection last week but seemed better until early Monday morning when he woke up with fever! (due to a cold) He has been a trooper between the ear infection, fever, congestion, and the 4 molars breaking through the last few weeks. You know your toddler is sick when he can lays on the couch most the day with his blankie, snuggly, and cup napping and watching TV! (Aiden is more of an active outdoor toddler who rarely can sit through a full song on a show while watching TV) He seems to be feeling better today though because he was playing with toys and wanting to go “O-SIIID”!

Wordless Wednesday

Aiden has a great imagination when it comes to playing with his toys and we are amazed at the things he thinks of MOST the time! This past weekend Aiden was not feeling 100% as you can probably notice from the pictures but he still manage to come up with his new “helmet”! He loves watching football with his Daddy so we are thinking he made himself a “football helmet” or maybe just a “helmet” who knows! Thanks Patrick for taking these pictures since I was sleeping in that morning!

Wordless Wednesday

Aiden is pretty independent when it comes to eating his food. The last few months we have been encouraging him to use his utensils. Most the time he tries out the fork/spoon a few times then holds it in one hand while he eats with the other. A few weeks ago I took a few pictures of him finishing up his yogurt. He did pretty well with the spoon until he got to the end and couldn’t get the last few spoonfuls out. So he started to mix it up again by getting one serving with his spoon and the next with his hand……. Needless to say he was a mess by the end of snack time and not happy when it was empty!

Coast Trip

I know this post is way overdue but I just went though all my coast pictures from July! Yikes!

As most of you know Texas doesn’t have the most wonderful beaches but they are still our getaway place to go during the summer days! This summer was the first time we took Aiden to the coast! It was a spur of the moment kinda trip and was full of wonderful family memories! My parents and my older sister, Annette planned a weekend trip to the coast and invited all my siblings to go! (which if you know my family that is a lot of us!) My two older sisters decided to take their families and we (Patrick and I) decide to go the night before they all were leaving to the resort! My parents were so happy to have all 5 of their grandkids and 7 adults join them for the weekend. Yes it was a total of 15 people in our group but we managed to enjoy making meals, visiting and just hanging out even after the kiddos went to bed! We had a lot of activities to keep us entertained at the resort such as playing on the beach (in walking distance), miniature golf, playground, bubbles in the open field, baseball, shuffle board, roasting marshmallows and much more! We hope to make at less one big family trip a year and maybe next time the rest of my siblings will join us! hint hint:)

Wordless Wednesday

I love these pictures of our last family outing to the Zoo! Aiden and I were not sure if we liked the birds that close to us eating the nectar out of my hand!

Then a bird flew over our heads and one landed on my shoulder (for a second) which terrified Aiden and me! He didn’t cry too much after he realized we were ok. I don’t blame him though because I was terrified myself as they landed on me and I was holding him close……which probably didn’t help!

Patrick got Aiden but could not resist taking one last picture of me nervously feeding the birds as one landed on my head!

My 3 year old nephew joined us but chose to stay out of the lory landing area. This was his reaction to what had just happen above. Priceless!

Finally, it was Patrick’s turn to feed the birds with Aiden while I took some pictures. Patrick looks alot more relaxed with three birds on him than me for sure!

15 Months

These past couple months we have been in a transition with work so it’s been full of summer fun with Aiden and studying for my teacher certification. I have got to spend a lot more time with him which has been a blast but I also have to focus on studying in the evenings when Aiden is sleeping. So I am rarely on the computer which is a big change from working by a computer during the work week the last few years and have my evening free to blog. I also got a EVO (cell phone) with internet and email which gives me less of a reason to get on the computer. So my blog goal will be to post more than once a month even if its short and mainly pictures of the back of Aiden climbing/jumping/falling on the couch, running out the front door/dog door to get outside or jumping into the pool right after we put on his floaties! (yes he has done all of the above)
